STOP PRESS NEWS - ANOTHER COUSIN!!!!

Word from Yorkshire is that Joe +Talia have another cousin - little May Claudie Isabell Spencer joined us on 3 May - we are expecting her and her sister Ellie to visit us backpacking for the Ashes in 2019 - Joe and Talia will show them around - England may even have won them back again by then.

Very many congratulations to Mark + Sarah. Not sure if Ellie + May will welcome the Sheffield Wednesday supporting legacy they are born into but it could be worse - could be Spurs!!!

9 More Sleeps Till We Go!!!

Talia says - this is a very special week for me - tomorrow I play at the Opera House in the Jacaranda concert - yesterday I went riding at Hidden Valley - and now its raining - all week!!!

Getting v excited now - we have our Sydney Morning Herald Socceroos flag for the car - love Steve Christo's excellent photo of the fans in Jo'burg in yesterday's SMH - will be aiming to meet up with him over there soon.

Hoping the Kiwis win over Serbia will rock Serbia back a bit - we're itching to take on the Poms in the knock outs - if the Poms make it through qualifying.

Best of all are the Schwarzer to Arsenal rumours - we'd love a Strayan at the Emirates! Can't do worse than John Kosmina did!!!

News Flash - Injury and Eurovision Update

Just heard Ghana will be without Essien for the World Cup - and Germany without Ballack - this is of course balanced by Straya not having Kethel available due to important meejah sack...sorry...work committments. Luckily we have Ruckavitsa - what could possibly go wrong???

PS Can't believe Sonya isn't representing the Poms in Eurovision this year! We're tipping Germany (but only in this comp).

Joe's birthday nearly over now - had a great day - sleepover guests left - Uncle + family arrived - then off to Homebush Bay Monster Park for daredevil scooter tricks with some more mates - just got into bed now.

Birthday Sleepover

10.08pm and birthday sleepover going well.... well not well enough that they are actually asleep! The boys are downstairs playing Soceroos snakes and ladders - a game that came free with the Sydney Morning herald today and seems to be providing hours of amusement.

No game for Joseph this weekend - he has a bye but some of his mates who are in a different division are off to Lakemba at the crack of dawn so better get them off to bed soon I guess.....

MMMMMMMMM They were good - now I'm looking forward to tonight - my brother is having a birthday sleepover - 4 of his friends coming over to watch Avatar and I may watch too - and have cake + pizza!!!

19 Days To Go

The rain here in Sydney has blown away and Joe's birthday weekend approaches. Right now he's practising the french horn which is going down well with Pamela who isn't up yet!

David's disappointed he missed the World Cup Squad for Australia (or anyone really) but can't be surprised after last weekend's effort at Bert's Grove.

Joe is saving himself for Australia in 2018 - sorry England but you won't be getting it.

Shame for Germany about Ballack but good for us - makes up a bit for our fave player being on his way out of Arsenal - Joe will need a new hero to put on the back of his shirt.

23 Days to Go

Well Joe's team lost and now they are 2nd - and David had probably his worst game ever at Birchgrove in the usual Sunday game - but the trip is getting closer and Pamela says cheer up and watch this...

25 Days To Go

We are getting increasingly excited about our trip which is only 25 days away...

...Talia is working on her soccer skills at Friday night training with the Balmain Growlers...

...and Joseph has resumed training after an ankle injury and bike accident and will be playing tomorrow for the Balmain Hammers Under 13s in Div 1 of the Canterbury League...the boys are currently top of the league!
